* Swedish Relaxation Massage
     This is the massage most people are familiar with.  Swedish Relaxation is just that...RELAXING!  The entire body is massaged from head to toe and the client is left feeling completely relaxed and stress free.
* Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage
     This type of massage addresses "problem" areas that are sore, injured or chronically in pain.  The techniques used get deeper into the muscle tissue to relieve adhesions, scarring and knotting of muscles and fascia (the "skin-like" covering around muscles and groups of muscles).  Contrary to the title, DEEP does not always mean heavier pressure.  A skilled therapist can do deep work without resorting to heavy pressure.  All massages, including therapeutic deep tissue massage, are geared to the clients comfort level.
* Reiki
     Reiki is Energy Work performed by the "laying on of hands" or "laying over of hands".  As a Reiki Master (Level III) I can provide a connection to the Universal Energy known as Reiki.  This work is gentle and can help with physical, emotional and spiritual healing.  Reiki is kind of "fool proof".  The energy goes where it is needed and if it is not needed it goes to Mother Earth (grounds).  Reiki can be a stand-alone treatment or it can be incorporated into the massage routine.  Generally, people feel very relaxed and may have a sensation of heat, tingling or vibration as the energy is passed.  Many times we have energy blockages that create dis-ease in the body.  Reiki can unblock and re-align the energy fields for optimum health.
* Pregnancy/Postpartum Massage
     Massage for Mothers-to-be is an incredible way to alleviate the unique pains of pregnancy.  Low Back Pain, Hip Pain, Sciatica, Leg Swelling and Cramping are just some of the issues that can be safely massaged by a certified Pregnancy Massage Therapist.  Massage can holistically relieve pain - no drugs!  At Massage Therapy For Health pregnant clients are skillfully propped with pillows to achieve the most comfortable positions that reduce stress on the weight bearing joints.
     Postpartum clients can enjoy a little "me" time while recuperating from the birthing process.  Massage helps regain a pre-pregnant posture and can be very helpful after C-section births (abdominal massage and scar work).
* Infant Massage Classes
     This 1 1/2 hour Private Class is designed to teach the parent/caregiver of a 0-6 month old infant (pre-crawling) how to massage his/her own baby.  It gives basic relaxation stroke techniques, ideas for sedating and for waking babies and skills in dealing with colicky babies and restless babies.  Touch is important to an infant's well being and is a great way to bond.  In this Private one-on-one class YOU will massage your own baby as I demonstrate on a baby doll.  This is a stress free zone...Bottle/Breast Feeding, Diaper Changing and Screaming Babies are all welcome!  The techniques you learn here can be used for a lifetime.  (Includes Instructional Hand Out and Oil)

*Cupping Massage Therapy

     Cupping Massage Therapy utilizes negative pressure by creating a vacuum inside a cup.  The cup is then placed on the skin (think vacuum hose stuck to your arm - we've all done it!).  The cup can be left in one place (stationary cupping) for a thorough detoxing treatment or the cup can be slid along the skin as part of a massage treatment (moving cups).  All forms of cupping release toxins bringing the toxins to the skin surface so the lymphatic system (immune system) can flush them out of the body.  This is simply a benefit to every body!  Stationary cupping may leave marks that look like bruises but are not bruises.  These markings are the toxins reaching the skin surface - this is a Good thing!  The markings may last as little as a few hours or as much as a few weeks depending on the individual and the length of treatment.  I always strive to start slowly and build up over time with each client.  Stationary and Moving cups pull soft tissue up into the cups and create more space underneath.  This can be very helpful to a sore muscle (or a trigger point).  Instead of compressing an already sensitive spot, the cup releases pressure allowing blood flow, lymph flow and nerve sensation to return.  This offers a new dimension to massage.  Clients are raving how comfortable the cups are and how quickly it relieves pain.  With the huge success I have had with the cupping, I now include it as part of every Relaxation/Deep Tissue massage treatment.
* Ashiatsu Bar Massage
     This ancient form of barefoot massage uses the feet of the therapist to apply deep luxurious pain-free compression strokes to the body.  (Ashi means "Foot" and Atsu means "pressure")  Bars over the table are used to stabilize the therapist while the entire massage is done with the feet.  This massage will put you in a "zone".  Although the pressure is deep, it is over a much wider area (the area covered by the therapist's feet) and therefore is not painful.  This massage is appropriate for most clients wanting a relaxing massage and can also be tailored for the client who wants a Really Deep massage and can't seem to find one using the traditional method.  My clients are calling it "Intense Relaxation"!  (NOTE:  This technique is not "walking on the back").  Click Here to see Ashiatsu Video (.wmv format).

     I am also a proctor to test out for Ashiatsu Floor or Bar Massage Levels I, II, III and IV for the Barefoot Masters Home Study courses (www.My2Feet.com).

* Chair Massage
     Chair Massage is a great way to introduce the world to massage.  The therapist comes to a location with a portable padded Massage Chair (specially designed with comfort in mind).  The client remains clothed and no oils are used.  Typically a chair massage lasts 5 -15 minutes but can be surprisingly effective in relaxing a client or working out a "kink".  Chair Massage is great for office visits, health fairs, sporting events or parties.
